What is the Dechen Chöling Ride Share?

Dechen Chöling can be a long way from where you are living. Share a ride with fellow participants of the programme that you are attending. Start the fun early and let it last longer!

How to use Ride Share Board?

First, make sure that you are logged in to the website. If you are a member of Shambhala Europe or Shambhala International, you can use your Shambhala Database username and password to login.

If you don't have a Shambhala Database login, but would like one, request a Shambhala Database login.

Alternatively, you can create a local DCL account.

Post a message using the "Post message" button that appears on the website when you are logged in.

Second, when adding a message or post to the board, you will be asked to specify:

  • your name
  • are you offering or requesting a ride?
  • are you going to or leaving Dechen Chöling?
  • what is the place that you are traveling from or too?
  • what is the date you are planning your travel?

There is also some room where you can add some details to your offer or request.

How do I contact the people I want to share a ride with?

When you are logged in to this website, you will see a "Contact" link with every offer or request. This Contact link will lead you a contact form to send a message to the person you wish to share a ride with. This person receives an email with your message to which he or she can reply too. This mechanism was chosen so your email address is not exposed on the website.
